********SPOILER ALERT**********<br/><br/>FIRST PART OF THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE DAY IT CAME OUT ON November 9TH 2010….<br/><br/>2nd PART OF THIS REVIEW IS ON 12-27-2010 WHEN IT SEEMS MOST OF THE BUGS HAVE BEEN WORKED OUT OF THE GAME.<br/><br/>if you have not bought this game yet, DON'T….this game is too laggy, and buggy right now. you could have a high end gaming computer and still have problems with this game. another bad thing is the graphics. compared to modern warfare and modern warfare 2, they blow black ops out of the water….and not just in graphics. they also blow that game up and out in sound, game play, and excitement to play the game. in my opinion this may be one of the worst call of duty's ever put out…to compare to, i have played and own, call of duty, call of duty: united offensive, call of duty 2, call of duty 4: modern warfare, call of duty: world at war, call of duty: modern warfare 2, and now this one (call of duty: black ops), all on the computer. i will continue watching this game to see if patches and/or updates come out to fix all of the bugs in it. here is a better break down of the game: 1 = very bad, 2 = bad, 3 = OK, 4 = good and 5 = very good:<br/><br/>game play = 1 sound = 2 to 4 (depending on which part of the game your playing) graphics = 1 to 2 enjoyment = 1 quality of game = 2 price of the game = 2<br/><br/>overall, you should wait to buy this game until the price comes down big time and the bugs get worked out. but this is my opinion, so its up to you if you want it or not.<br/><br/>*****UPDATED ON Monday 12-27-2010:*****<br/><br/>the game seems to be fixed now and it's not lagging anymore for now. so now I'm going to write an updated review on this game.<br/><br/>here is a better break down of the game: 1 = very bad, 2 = bad, 3 = OK, 4 = good and 5 = very good:<br/><br/>game play = 3 to 4 (some = 5) sound = 4 to 5 (depending on which part of the game your playing) graphics = 3 to 4 (some = 5) enjoyment = 3 to 4 (it would be more fun with less video to watch) quality of game = 4 price of the game = 2 to 4 (depends who you order it from)<br/><br/>as stated above the other call of duty's are still better than this one, but now that they seem to have the bugs worked out, it definitely increases it's review to be better. personally i would wait for the price to go down more, but it's finally good to buy it now. before i said no, because of all the problems, but with them almost all worked out now, it's a fairly good game now……still notgoodcall of duty: modern warfare: 2 though.
Singleplayer - 9 <br/><br/>The Singleplayer of Black Ops is awesome. Treyarch did another great job with the Singleplayer campaign. Voice actors, characters, levels, are all brilliant. The story of the Singleplayer had a fairly good length and good detail for the player to understand what's going on there. Graphics are also perfect, and with the addition of 3D graphics, one could think that he is on the battlefield himself. The things that I didn't like in the game, mostly are the disorienting environments, and the need of the player to be rapid in certain objectives,some new players may get frustrated at this. Another bad element of the game is the "auto-pilot", in which the game basically prompts you to do something, and even if you don't actually do it, it still does it by itself, leaving you think that you did it yourself.<br/><br/>Multiplayer - 9 <br/><br/>The Multiplayer component has a lot of things too, like the other Call of Duty games. Treyarch has taken a lot of measures to prevent a lot of things. Perks that were called "too tough" by other players were taken out, under-barrels have been restricted to be used along with another attachments, "easy" quick-scoping has been completely eliminated,Sleight Of Hand Pro doesn't affect snipers. The addition of currency was very good,now people can't start equipping everything they see on their way without some hard work. Wager Matches added a gambling element of the game,it has a cost to get inside one, it has 4 game modes and only the top 3 players get paid. Gun customization is superior, every detail, from attachments to appearance and color can be customized. Combat Training, which uses a separate leveling system, features bots versus you, but it still needs an online connection to operate.<br/><br/>Zombies - 8,5 <br/><br/>Zombies are good once again, also there are again a lot of clues to discover about the back-story. Zombies return creepier and all-new, with the 4 characters from World At War returning, and new levels, with one of them having new characters. An amazing easter egg is also a new way to see the zombies, but of course, I won't spoil it. The PC version lobby finding is a bit of a trouble, and also there are a lot of people doing infinite ammo cheats, glitches, etc. Also, there is a bit of lag, but it's good overall. It's disappointing to see co-op campaign not being here,it was very fun to play campaign with your friends.<br/><br/>Final Rating: 8,8 <br/><br/>One of the most anticipated games, but it has it's flaws. It's very good overall. Multiplayer introduced enhanced gun customization, and single-player and zombies were fairly good. Recommended for Call of Duty fans.

It has been confirmed that this game will feature a Nazi Zombie mode. You reprise your roleDempsey, Nikolai, Takeo or Richtofen. The way that they work into the more modernized weaponry is that Richtofen had created a time machine, thus sending the four WW2 era characters along with Nazi zombies through the time portal. It has also been announced there will be a DLC included with the Hardened and Prestige editions of the game (And likely later availablea purchase DLC for those who buy the standard version) of the original four Nazi Zombie maps; Nacht Der Untoten, Verrückt , Shi No Numa and Der Riese. They will be updated with the graphics, game-play physics, etc. for Black-Ops. Also, the four playable characters will be available in both Nacht Der Untoten and Verrückt [as they originally only appeared in the last two]. But the best part, Black-Ops weapons will be available from the Mystery Box! Black Ops is brutal. Heads are being chopped off, sleeping hostiles stabbed violently, humans take their last breath in anguish due to toxic gas and soldiers who surrendered can be executed without any repercussions. The censorings almost seems ludicrous, considering all the violent and vicious things that remained unchanged. Nevertheless, things were censored for some reason. An entire sequence has been removed, splatter effects have been censored. Even the Rolling Stones song Sympathy for the Devil has been removed. Except for the missing song, the alterations are standard procedure.
